DescriptionThe whole story▼
The JP ES 001 side stand eliminator is a plug-and-play electronic device that simulates the original side stand switch on a Ducati Monster V2. Built for track use, it lets the bike start and run with the stand removed entirely, with no need to cut, splice or otherwise modify the factory wiring loom.
Key Features
- Ducati Monster V2 (2026)
- Simulates the original side stand switch electronically
- Allows the bike to start and run with no stand fitted
- Plug-and-play, no modification of the factory wiring
- Matched to the Ducati Monster V2 harness
- Intended for track use, not for riding with a stand removed on the road
Why the side stand switch matters
Road-going motorcycles use the side stand switch as a safety interlock, cutting ignition or killing the engine in gear if the stand is left down, a sensible feature for the street but one that gets in the way once the stand itself is removed for track days.
What the eliminator actually does
Rather than disabling the interlock crudely, the JP ES 001 reproduces the exact signal the switch would send when the stand is stowed, so the Monster V2's ECU continues to see a normal, retracted-stand state at all times. The eliminator simply inserts itself into that signal chain without needing any additional power source.
Plug-and-play fitment on the Monster V2
The connector on this eliminator matches the Monster V2 wiring loom directly, clipping in where the original switch plug sat, so there is no need to cut a single wire or add any extra relay to the harness. The whole job typically takes only a few minutes once the old switch has been unplugged.
Starting and running with the stand off
Once fitted, the Monster V2 starts, idles and can be ridden in gear exactly as it would with the stand retracted, even though the stand itself has been taken off the bike entirely for track preparation. Nothing about clutch, gearbox or ignition timing changes because of this swap on the Monster V2.
Where this device belongs
This eliminator is intended for closed-course and track use, where removing the side stand reduces weight and clutter; it is not meant to encourage riding on public roads without a stand fitted. Teams usually carry the stand and its hardware separately for events that still require it fitted.
