The Column Reordered
Same functions, different sequence, arranged around what a rider uses repeatedly at a circuit. It is the version to fit on a V2 that spends its weekends at track days.
A Popular Class Machine
The 955 cc Superquadro turns up throughout national supersport racing because it is light, willing and comparatively affordable to run. A great many V2s see competition rather than commuting.
Adjusted While Riding
Traction level, engine braking and map, all changed without closing the throttle. Those are the inputs that accumulate through a season and they all pass through this block.
What the Wash Bay Does
A hot jet on a warm motorcycle twenty minutes after a session. It is what actually ends competition switchgear, and a machined body with sealed elements gives it nothing to work on.
Standard Returns Quickly
Nothing cut, so the road block goes back on in twenty minutes. On a V2 being sold to somebody who wants a road bike, that is worth the small effort.
A Hundred and Fifty-Five Horsepower
From the 955 cc Superquadro, with a flatter torque curve than the 959 managed. Ducati spent the development on usability, which turned out to suit racing as well.
Black Anodised
Converted into the surface. On a competition motorcycle the finish is judged by how it survives a pressure washer rather than by how it looks on a stand.
Military-Specification Contacts
Sealed considerably beyond road requirement. Between the wash bay and a wet paddock, race switchgear meets more water in one season than road switchgear does in five.
The Last Panigale Twin
Its successor uses an entirely new engine. That has kept the V2 955 interesting to owners who care about such things and it has kept parts demand steady.
