DescriptionThe whole story▼
Fourteen model years of GSX-R 600, a motorcycle that has been a supersport club racing default for most of that period. On a machine being prepared for competition the secondary air system is on the strip list, and JP ES 007 is what stops the ECU objecting.
Key Features
- Covers the Suzuki GSX-R 600, 2004–2017
- Bypasses the PAIR solenoid circuit
- Valve, hoses and reed valves can all be removed
- Plug-and-play on the factory connector
- Shared with the GSX-R 750 of the same years
- One part across the model's later life
Where the Rules Leave Room
Supersport regulations control the engine tightly: standard airbox, limited internal work, standard bore. What is left to a competitor is weight, wiring and preparation. Removing the secondary air hardware is one of the few things that is both permitted and worth doing, which is why it has been on GSX-R preparation sheets for two decades.
High Revs Make It Louder
A 600 works above 10.000 rpm and does a great deal of engine braking into corners — exactly the condition in which the PAIR system is most active. With a race pipe fitted, the crackle on corner entry is significant, and removing the system changes what the bike sounds like on every lap.
Fourteen Years, One Connector
Suzuki revised the GSX-R 600 repeatedly across this period, with new frames, new bodywork and revised electronics. The PAIR solenoid circuit and its plug survived all of it, so one eliminator covers a 2004 bike and a 2017 one.
