DescriptionThe whole story▼
Fitted to the MV Agusta Brutale 1000 (2019–2022), the JP ACCGP MV002 shortens the ride-by-wire throttle's rotation to sixty degrees, milled from solid Ergal rather than cast, so the four-cylinder naked's famously immediate power delivery arrives over less wrist travel without any change to the fuelling itself.
Key Features
- MV Agusta Brutale 1000 (2019–2022)
- GP Series ride-by-wire quick throttle with a sixty degree rotation angle
- Progressive return spring, preload adjustable externally in three positions
- CNC-machined from solid Ergal 7075
- Plug-and-play on the motorcycle's own connector
- Standard throttle assembly refits at any time
A Four-Cylinder Naked Asks for Precision
The Brutale 1000 carries an inline-four engine in a naked chassis, a combination that delivers power with little of the softness a fairing bike's electronics sometimes add. Riders who know the bike well tend to describe the throttle connection as direct almost to a fault, which is exactly the kind of character a shorter rotation suits rather than fights.
Sixty Degrees Instead of the Standard Arc
Cutting the rotation to sixty degrees means the same opening the factory grip needed a wider sweep to reach now happens over a shorter arc, with the ride-by-wire mapping behind it left completely alone. The engine still responds exactly as MV Agusta tuned it to.
One Block of Ergal, Machined to Shape
Rather than being cast and finished afterward, the housing starts as a solid billet of 7075 Ergal and is milled down from there, which is why the lever action holds up under repeated use instead of loosening over time the way a cheaper cast part eventually does.
Resetting the Sensor After Fitting
A short diagnostic procedure after installation lets the ride-by-wire control unit relearn the throttle position sensor's new range, a step that most workshops familiar with MV Agusta electronics handle in a matter of minutes rather than hours, before the bike goes back out on the road.
What a Naked Flagship Rewards
Without a fairing to hide behind, the Brutale 1000 puts the rider's whole upper body into managing the throttle through fast direction changes, and a shorter rotation gives the wrist less distance to cover while that management happens lap after lap or corner after corner.
Removable Whenever It Suits
The standard MV Agusta grip bolts back on without leaving any trace of the swap, which lets an owner change their mind after trying the shorter throw for a season rather than before buying it, with nothing about the bike permanently altered in the process.
