Fullsix sells these as two numbers, which is useful when one gets damaged and misleading when someone is buying carbon for the first time. A single extension on one side of a symmetrical tail looks like a repair rather than an upgrade.
They also come in a single finish rather than the usual four. If the rest of the bike's carbon is matt or satin, that is worth checking against this part before ordering, not after.

Ducati 1299 Panigale, model years 2015 to 2017, with the road specification seat unit. Not for the racing monocoque tail.
Road Approval
Fullsix publishes neither an ABE nor an EC type-approval number for this part. It replaces a body panel like for like.
Fitting
Seat off, panel located on its tabs first, fasteners started by hand. The tabs take the position and the fasteners only hold it there.
Then look at the trailing edge from behind and slightly to one side. Two extensions that do not finish at the same height show up from exactly that angle, and that is where anyone photographing the bike will be standing.
