DescriptionThe whole story▼

Four fitting kits, two model generations, one motorcycle. Akrapovic lists two kits for the Euro 5+ MT-09 — this one and P-HF1595 — and two more for the 2021 to 2023 machine. Getting the right one is a matter of matching the exhaust, not just the year.

Key Features

  • For the Euro 5+ MT-09 and FZ-09 built from 2024
  • Bracket and mounting material, without a muffler clamp
  • Mandatory — the silencer has no attachment without a kit
  • A second Euro 5+ kit, P-HF1595, includes a clamp and costs more
  • Match the kit to the exhaust, not only to the model year

Year First, Then Exhaust

Two questions decide which kit is correct. The first is the emissions generation: Euro 5+ from 2024, and this kit belongs to that side of the line. The second is which Akrapovic silencer the motorcycle is getting, because the two Euro 5+ kits differ in whether a clamp is included.

Akrapovic does not publish which exhaust goes with which kit. Quote the silencer's part number to the distributor and let them confirm it — that costs one message and prevents a return.

Why the Contents Differ

Some Akrapovic silencers ship with the clamp already attached to the muffler; others expect the clamp to come from the mounting hardware. That is the likeliest reason for two kits at two prices, and it is why the exhaust rather than the bike decides.

Mandatory, Not Optional

Akrapovic's own word. The exhaust arrives without the parts that hold it to the subframe, and a kit is the only way to complete the installation. No amount of standard Yamaha hardware substitutes.

What Is Inside

The bracket that carries the silencer plus the bolts, spacers and springs that secure it. Everything to size and finished; nothing needs fabricating.

Which MT-09 Is Euro 5+

Machines built from 2024. The registration document usually settles it through the first registration date, and where it does not, the emissions class stated in the papers does.

A bike registered in early 2024 but built in 2023 is the awkward case, and there the frame number is the reliable answer.

Four Kits Is Not a Mistake

It looks like over-complication and it is the opposite. Akrapovic keeps one silencer in production across two emissions generations and two mounting variants, and pushes every difference into a part that costs a fraction of the exhaust. The alternative would be four silencers, and four times the stock tied up for the same coverage.

Keep What Comes Off

Yamaha's standard bracket comes off with the standard silencer. Store the two together — a machine returned to standard before a sale needs every one of those parts.

Order Them Together

The kit is a small fraction of the exhaust price, and forgetting it turns an afternoon into a fortnight. Once the correct kit is confirmed, put both in the same order.

Road Approval

Not applicable. A bracket and a set of fasteners carry no emissions or noise approval. What the finished exhaust may do is decided by the silencer and the converter ahead of it.
