DescriptionThe whole story▼
The first season of any model is the awkward one to buy parts for. Accossato's list for the TX 125 begins in 2017 and gives a single code for that year, the AGD316, before a different one takes over for the seasons that follow. Owners of one of those early machines therefore need to read the entry carefully rather than assume that what fits a later bike will fit theirs. The AGD316 is a silver front brake lever in the shape of the original for the TX 125.

Construction and Material Quality
Nothing about this lever is meant to stand out. The AGD316 follows the outline Husqvarna used on the TX 125, so the bike goes back to how it was built and the rider has nothing new to get used to. Accossato developed these replacement levers on the understanding that controls are broken in ordinary use and should cost accordingly, and says that the way they are produced leaves them more resistant once they have taken damage or a collision. The colour listed for this code is silver. No material, weight or dimension is published by the manufacturer, and none is supplied here.
The First Season of a New Model
When a machine is new to a range, the parts around it take a while to settle. Some components carry over from a sister model and some do not, catalogues are written from whatever has actually been confirmed, and an early bike can end up with an entry all of its own. That is what has happened here: the TX 125 of 2017 sits under one code while the following seasons sit under another, which tells an owner to pay attention to the year rather than to the model name. In practice the advice is simple. Check which season your bike is before you order, and if the history is uncertain, read the frame number rather than trusting the graphics, because plastics are the first thing anybody changes. Then do the check that settles every one of these questions: take the fitted brake lever off, lay it somewhere flat and photograph it from directly above with the bars pointing straight ahead, and compare the pivot end and the curve of the blade with the product pictures. A second-hand bike may well be carrying a perch or a lever from another machine without anybody having mentioned it. Send us the photograph if two candidates still look alike, and we will say what we can see.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGD316 for the TX 125 in 2017 and the AGD14 for 2018 and 2019, so the two do not overlap and the season decides. The AGD316 is one of the broader codes in this range and is catalogued with us for the Husqvarna TC 125, the TE 125 and the TE 250 as well. On the clutch side of the TX 125 Accossato lists the AGS17 for 2018 and 2019, with nothing given for 2017. The CNC levers for this bike are the B8283 and the C7284.
Road Approval
Accossato issued no approval documents with the AGD316, so we can quote neither a German ABE nor a test mark, and the lever is listed for racing and competition.
