The X Diavel is Ducati's cruiser-styled flagship: long, heavy, and happiest rolling along at low revs rather than darting through traffic. That low, wide stance keeps it steady on the move, but a motorcycle this size is hard to save once it starts to lean too far, whether in a car park, on a slope, or during a clumsy three-point turn in a narrow driveway. For the X Diavel 1260 and 1260 S of 2016 to 2018, Accossato builds the PP069, a pair of black rear axle sliders meant to take that first knock.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato makes the PP069 from aluminium combined with plastic, and both protectors wear a black finish that sits quietly against the X Diavel's own dark running gear rather than standing out from it. One slider goes on each side of the rear axle area, near the swingarm, and the maker packs spacers, screws and whatever else it considers necessary for fitting into the same box. How exactly the pair locates against this particular Ducati's swingarm and axle isn't set out in the paperwork we have, so that detail belongs to the fitting instructions and a competent workshop, not to guesswork on a product page.
Weight, Balance and Low-Speed Drops
Most X Diavel owners will never see a trackday, but plenty will eventually drop the bike near a standstill: wheeling it backwards out of a garage, losing balance on a cambered driveway, or catching a boot on wet cobbles outside a café. At that speed there's no dramatic crash, just a heavy motorcycle going over sideways, and the rear end is just as likely to land first as the front.
