DescriptionThe whole story▼

Accossato's five-button PS014 gives the left-hand side of the 1199 Panigale considerably more switches than the PS012 or PS013, aimed at riders who want several functions within reach of the clutch lever without hunting for a single shared button. It clamps to the handlebar rather than mounting on the clutch master cylinder, so fitting does not depend on the bracket design used at the clutch master cylinder.

Key Features

  • Plug & Play Accossato switch panel for the Ducati Panigale 1199 (2012–2017)
  • 5 buttons, left-hand side
  • Top button monostable, yellow
  • Second button monostable, green
  • Third button monostable, white
  • Fourth button monostable, black
  • Bottom button monostable, blue
  • Supplied with a handlebar clamp for mounting

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists the PS014 for the 1199 Panigale from 2012 to 2017. The same panel also fits the 1299 Panigale and the 959 Panigale, which Accossato treats as sharing the same left-hand clamp position on the bar. Owners of the 1199 Panigale who want fewer buttons in the same spot, or a version that bolts to the clutch master cylinder instead of clamping to the bar, can compare this with the PS012 and the PS013, both of which Accossato also fits to this model.

Five Buttons on One Clamp

All five buttons on the PS014 are monostable, so each one is a plain press-and-release switch rather than one that holds a toggled position. Reading from the top, the colours run yellow, green, white, black and then blue at the bottom, giving five distinct positions a gloved hand can tell apart without looking down. The clamp supplied with the panel wraps around the handlebar next to the left grip and is tightened once during fitting; because the panel attaches to the bar itself rather than to the clutch master cylinder, fitting it does not depend on the bracket fitted at the clutch master cylinder on the 1199 built between 2012 and 2017.

Road Approval

Accossato does not document an ABE or German Teilegutachten for the PS014, and none is held on file at Inter-Pace. Fitting five extra buttons to the handlebar of a bike used on public roads is a change worth clearing with a testing authority or qualified workshop first, since switchgear can be relevant to legal use of the road. Accossato markets the PS014 in its Racing range, which points first to track and closed-course riding.

Scope of Delivery

The PS014 ships with all five buttons wired into one cable and the handlebar clamp needed to fit it. Connecting that cable to the bike's own switchgear or an aftermarket control unit is left to the installer; no jumper or bracket for the clutch master cylinder is included, since this panel does not mount there.
