DescriptionThe whole story▼
City riding on a Speed Triple 1050 means wide bars in narrow gaps. Squeezing past parked cars, sliding in between scooters, wheeling the bike out of a tight garage: in all of these, the levers are the parts that stick out, and the clutch lever is often the one that touches something first. The EST333P from Accossato is a CNC-machined aluminium clutch lever for the Speed Triple 1050 from 2016 to 2020, available in a short version that ends further inboard, as well as in standard and long lengths.
Key Features
- Clutch lever for the Speed Triple 1050 from 2016 to 2020
- Short blade for a compact outline, in blue, gold, green, orange and silver
- Fits the original clutch mounting
- Reach adjustable
- CNC-machined from aluminium, anodised, with a black hub
- Standard length approximately 138 mm, available in every colour
- Rigid one-piece blade
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato machines the EST333P from aluminium and anodises it in two tones, a black hub and a blade in black, blue, red, orange, gold, silver or green. The hub contains the pivot and the reach adjuster. The blade is fixed, made in one piece with no folding joint. A fixed lever does not swing out of the way if the bike goes over, so its length is worth thinking about; the anodised surface, at least, resists light scuffs better than paint.
A Shorter Lever for Tight Spaces
A short clutch blade ends further from the bar end, which gives it a smaller outline beside the grip. In practice that means a little more clearance when you squeeze past a car's mirror or park close to a wall, and a little less lever sticking out if the bike topples over at a standstill. It is not a guarantee against damage, since a fixed lever can still bend in a fall, but the less that protrudes, the less there is to catch. The short EST333P is made in five colours: silver, green, orange, gold and blue. There is a trade-off: with the fingers closer to the pivot, the pull is firmer than on a longer blade, so the short version suits riders who use two fingers on the clutch and do not spend hours in dense traffic. If you do, the standard blade, about 138 mm, is the more relaxed choice on the Speed Triple 1050.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the EST333P for the Speed Triple 1050 from 2016 to 2020, the final years of the 1050. The earlier bikes, from 2005 to 2016, are covered by the EST333, so a 2016 Speed Triple needs a closer look: compare your original clutch lever with the product photos of both. For the right side, the EDF099 brake lever is listed from 2010 to 2020 and can be ordered to match.
Road Approval
This clutch lever comes without a documented German ABE and is sold for track use.
