DescriptionThe whole story▼
Adjustable levers are usually discussed as a help for small hands, but riders with large hands have the opposite problem. The original lever can sit so close that the fingers are already curled around it before the pull begins, and in thick gloves the knuckles bump against the grip. For the Triumph Scrambler from 2006 to 2016, Accossato makes the EST333, a clutch lever machined from aluminium whose adjuster can also move the blade further out, and whose long version gives big hands room.
Key Features
- Clutch lever for the air-cooled Scrambler, 2006 to 2016
- Mounts at the original clutch mounting
- Reach can be set further out for large hands and thick gloves
- Long blade in blue, gold, green or orange
- Standard length approximately 138 mm
- Machined aluminium, anodised, black hub
- Fixed blade with no folding joint
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato shapes the EST333 from aluminium by CNC milling and then anodises it: the hub black, the blade in the colour you order. Blade and hub form one fixed piece, so there is no joint to loosen on rough roads or gravel tracks. The machined blade is smooth and even along its length, which you notice when the whole hand works on it, and because the colour is part of the surface, it survives the scuffs a Scrambler tends to collect.
Room for Large Hands
With large hands, the aim is the reverse of the usual advice. Move the blade away from the grip until the fingers can open naturally, take hold of the lever with their middle sections and complete the pull without the knuckles hitting the grip at the end of the stroke. The adjuster on the EST333 allows exactly that. The long blade then completes the fit. Made in gold, green, orange and blue, it offers space for three or four fingers along with the greatest leverage, so the clutch also feels lighter. On a Scrambler ridden on unmade roads, a longer lever also stays within reach when the hands shift their position on the wide bar over bumps. Riders who wear bulky winter or off-road gloves face the same issue as those with big hands and can use the same set-up; the standard blade, about 138 mm, remains the choice if you prefer the original proportions.
Fitment and Compatibility
The EST333 is listed by Accossato for the Scrambler 900 from 2006 to 2016, with further entries for 2007 to 2009 and for the EFI version of 2008 to 2010. It replaces the original clutch lever on the stock mounting. On the brake side, Accossato lists the EDF014 for the same Scrambler and the same years, so both levers can be matched in colour. Black and red are available in the standard length only, which is worth knowing if you want the long blade.
Road Approval
For road use in Germany, no ABE is documented for the EST333; the lever is offered for track use.
