DescriptionThe whole story▼
This longer-range Ducati, sold with ABS between 2013 and 2016, takes the same five-hose Accossato kit as the related Hypermotard 821 and Hyperstrada 939, since all three share the Standard brake-line layout underneath their different bodywork and luggage fitments. Fitting braided lines on a machine often used for extended rides pays off in a lever feel that stays consistent outing after outing rather than softening as the stock rubber ages.
Key Features
- Five-hose set shared by the Hyperstrada 821, Hypermotard 821 and Hyperstrada 939
- Standard (S) layout matching the stock routing
- Aeronautical braid sheath in 20 colours
- Stainless steel fittings throughout, no painted option on this kit
- Firmer, more consistent lever feel over repeated use
- Finished ready to fit in place of the original rubber hoses
Construction and Material Quality
The hoses are built from a woven stainless braid over the pressure line, finished with plain stainless fittings on this application rather than a painted finish. The full range of twenty sheath colours still applies, so a rider fitting this kit has as wide a choice of braid colour as any other Accossato customer, even without a coloured fitting option on this particular application, from carbon black and silver through to the brighter neon tones.
A Longer-Range Bike on the Same Platform
Ducati built this model as the longer-range version of the Hypermotard platform, adding panniers and a taller screen without altering the brake-line routing, which is why this kit is identical to the one listed for the related Hypermotard. Riders covering long distances are the ones most likely to notice the firmer, more predictable lever this swap gives over many months of use.
Fitment and Compatibility
This kit fits the Ducati Hyperstrada 821 sold between 2013 and 2016, and the same part also covers the Hypermotard 821 (2013–2018) and Hyperstrada 939 (2013–2018), since all three share this brake circuit. Check the Fitment tab to confirm the exact model and year before ordering, particularly since the Hyperstrada 821's own production run ends two years earlier than its two platform siblings.
Road Approval
Accossato documents no ABE or parts certificate for this kit; it is intended for track and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
5 braided hoses for the Standard layout. Check hollow bolts and sealing washers against the motorcycle before fitting, since these connecting parts are not necessarily included.
