DescriptionThe whole story

Owners of a Griso SE 8V 1200 tend to find their front brake's limit on a road they do not know. That is the job of the B002: 75.5 by 55.0 mm of ceramic-sintered material, 8.5 mm deep, in the Brembo caliper. In EXR form the B002 carries ZCOO's 2026 compound, the mixture that replaces EXC Endurance.

Key Features

  • Fits the Brembo caliper the Moto Guzzi Griso SE 8V 1200 left the factory with - no aftermarket caliper required
  • Listed for the Moto Guzzi Griso SE 8V 1200 across 1 model year (2018)
  • Ceramic sintering rather than a resin binder, so there is nothing in the B002 to cook out at the top of the range
  • Wear stays even across the 75.5 mm of friction face rather than concentrating at the leading edge
  • The B002 is dimensionally stable under the clamping load a Brembo caliper generates
  • Front axle only: ZCOO lists no rear pad under the B002 reference

Construction and Material Quality

Manufacture is Japanese and unchanged across the range, the B002 included. Expansion gaps between the friction blocks let the B002 material grow into the gaps when hot instead of building stress against itself. The effect is a B002 that presents the same geometry to the disc near the wear limit as it did new.

Performance and Feel

EXC Endurance was built for race distance and behaved like it: strong once hot, vague before. On the Moto Guzzi Griso SE 8V 1200 the twenty percent shows up as a braking marker that can move rather than one that has to. For a Griso SE 8V 1200 that is the difference between a hard stop and a fright.

Fitment and Compatibility

The B002 is ZCOO's listed reference for the Moto Guzzi Griso SE 8V 1200 between 2018 and 2018. ZCOO lists no rear pad for the Griso SE 8V 1200. Before ordering, check that your caliper takes a pad of 75.5 mm length and 55.0 mm height. The same B002 shape covers 75 further machines in the 2026 catalogue.

Road Approval

No ECE R90 type approval is documented for this pad. It appears neither in ZCOO's own catalogue nor on the European distributor's site, and no approval number is printed on the packaging data available to us. ZCOO itself describes the compound as suited to competition machines and road machines alike, but that is a description of the mixture, not a type approval. Until the distributor confirms an approval in writing, treat this as a track and competition part: in Germany a replacement brake pad without ECE R90 approval may not be fitted to a motorcycle used on public roads. Ask us before ordering if you need this clarified for your machine.
