DescriptionThe whole story

Riding a Z H2 SE hard means using the front brake harder than the riding position suggests. ZCOO cuts the B005 at 102.2 by 42.0 mm to fill the Brembo caliper window of the Z H2 SE. In EXR the Z H2 SE gets the compound ZCOO now points endurance and sprint racers toward.

Key Features

  • The Brembo caliper spreads under peak pressure; the B005 plate is cut stiff enough to keep the friction face flat while it does
  • Shipped in ZCOO's own packaging with the ZRM-B005C code printed on it, so a repeat order needs no guesswork
  • Part number Z-B005-EXR, EAN 4950545771773
  • Heat spreads across the whole 102.2 by 42.0 mm face instead of concentrating at the leading edge
  • Wear stays even across the 102.2 mm of friction face rather than concentrating at the leading edge
  • Machined, not moulded: the B005 plate is cut to the Brembo outline rather than pressed to an approximate one

Construction and Material Quality

The B005 is made by Okada Corporation in Japan. At 8.05 mm the B005 carries its ceramic layer on a plate cut to fill the Brembo caliper window exactly. None of it is visible once the B005 is in the Brembo caliper, which is precisely the point.

Performance and Feel

EXR's headline claim is specific: up to twenty percent more braking force in the second phase of braking. That is the part of the zone where the pad has already absorbed most of its heat and the rider is still adjusting. On an unfaired machine like the Kawasaki Z H2 SE that is a control argument, not a comfort one.

Fitment and Compatibility

The B005 is ZCOO's listed reference for the Kawasaki Z H2 SE between 2021 and 2026. ZCOO lists no rear pad for the Z H2 SE. Before ordering, check that your caliper takes a pad of 102.2 mm length and 42.0 mm height. The same B005 shape covers 117 further machines in the 2026 catalogue.

Road Approval

No ECE R90 type approval is documented for this pad. It appears neither in ZCOO's own catalogue nor on the European distributor's site, and no approval number is printed on the packaging data available to us. ZCOO itself describes the compound as suited to competition machines and road machines alike, but that is a description of the mixture, not a type approval. Until the distributor confirms an approval in writing, treat this as a track and competition part: in Germany a replacement brake pad without ECE R90 approval may not be fitted to a motorcycle used on public roads. Ask us before ordering if you need this clarified for your machine.
