The damper shaft carries the piston and passes through the seal head, so its surface finish decides how long the seals last. The polished section runs in the seal; a mark there ends the seal's life. Surface hardness is what lets the shaft survive thousands of cycles through a seal.

Original Öhlins Part

Öhlins keeps service parts available for units long after they leave the current price list. A damper that can be rebuilt is a damper that stays on the bike; that is the whole argument for original service parts. Service parts are supplied per piece unless the description says otherwise. Öhlins parts are unit-specific: a close dimension is not a substitute.

Identifying the Right Part

If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 06303-01. Check diameter 1 mm, length 106 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. The polished section runs in the seal; a mark there ends the seal's life. The damper shaft carries the piston through the oil and out through the seal head.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 06303-01

Category: Damper Shafts

Diameter: 1 mm

Length: 106 mm

Thread: M13x1

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/06303-01_2140d916-8f77-4f04-bfae-d3cbe916cc61.png?v=1788877844
