Key Features
- Original Öhlins service part
- Dimension A 25.4 mm
- Öhlins part number 60060-24
- Dimension B 146 mm
Function
At 25.4 mm, 146 mm it fits one position only; the next size up carries a different number. A worn adjuster loses its clicks, and with them any chance of a methodical setup. Click adjusters work through a needle in a seat; the detent spring gives the clicks their feel. The adjuster is the part a rider actually touches, and its detents are what make a setting repeatable.
Why the Original
Öhlins manufactures service parts on the same lines as production parts — there is no second quality. Öhlins supports its suspension with individual service parts, which is why a fifteen-year-old damper can still be rebuilt to specification. We can check the number against the Öhlins exploded view before you order — just ask. Service parts are supplied per piece unless the description says otherwise.
Getting the Number Right
If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 60060-24. The published dimensions are dimension a 25.4 mm, dimension b 146 mm — measure the old part against them if you are unsure. The adjuster is the part a rider actually touches, and its detents are what make a setting repeatable. Detent balls and springs are separate parts because they wear before the housing does.
Fitting and Setup Service
Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.
