Outer tubes hold the bushings and the seal head, so their bore finish matters as much as the inner tube's outside.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 21845-03

Original Öhlins service part

Dimension B 116 mm

Dimension A 75 mm

Where It Sits

Öhlins publishes 75 mm, 116 mm for 21845-03 — the dimensions are the identity of the part. Axle clamps are machined so the axle clamps without pinching the fork out of alignment. Fork legs are matched left and right on most Öhlins forks and are listed separately. Top caps carry the adjusters and the preload mechanism.

Why the Original

Öhlins publishes dimensions for its service parts so a workshop can verify before it fits. The part is identical to what Öhlins fits in production — same supplier, same specification. Ask us before ordering if you are unsure: a wrong part in a pressurised unit is an expensive lesson. The exploded drawing for your unit names the number; if you do not have it, we do.

Identifying the Right Part

Part number 21845-03 is unambiguous; the description alone is not, because Öhlins uses similar wording across sizes. Öhlins states dimension a 75 mm, dimension b 116 mm for this number, and those figures are the deciding ones. A fork tube that has been bent is scrap: straightening changes the wall and it bends again. Fork tubes are the structural part of the front end and carry the braking load into the yokes.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21845-03

Category: Outer Tubes

Dimension A: 75 mm

Dimension B: 116 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21845-03_b481373e-61a2-4256-938a-4131f6d34e3a.png?v=1788880321
