Thread size and eye diameter identify the part. The end eye carries the entire load of the damper into the chassis, which is why it is machined rather than cast. A spherical bearing in the eye lets the damper follow the linkage arc without side load.

Why the Original

The part is identical to what Öhlins fits in production — same supplier, same specification. A damper that can be rebuilt is a damper that stays on the bike; that is the whole argument for original service parts. Öhlins numbers do not follow a logic you can guess — always read them from the documentation. Where a number has been superseded, Öhlins states the replacement — we pass that on.

Getting the Number Right

60220-08 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. The published dimensions are dimension a 14 mm, dimension b 50 mm, dimension c 23 mm — measure the old part against them if you are unsure. Top eyes with an integrated preload adjuster are listed as one part. Öhlins machines many eyes from the same billet as the damper body.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 60220-08

Category: End Eyes

Dimension A: 14 mm

Dimension B: 50 mm

Dimension C: 23 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/60220-08_0c77d394-a1ef-44c7-84a4-2c4f2e72c4c3.png?v=1788881119
