A scored bore means lost damping, because the oil bypasses the piston rather than being forced through the shims.

Key Features

Diameter 46 mm

Original Öhlins service part

Length 127.5 mm

Öhlins part number 01010-06

What It Is

Öhlins gives it as 46 mm, 127.5 mm; nothing about that is approximate. Surface finish is specified in microns, because it decides how quickly the piston band wears. The tube carries the end cap threads, so damaged threads mean a new tube rather than a repair. The cylinder tube is the working bore of the damper: the piston runs in it, and its finish decides how well the piston rings seal.

Original Öhlins Part

The part is identical to what Öhlins fits in production — same supplier, same specification. Parts remain available years after a unit leaves the current price list, which is unusual in this trade. Send us the model and serial number of your unit and we will confirm the position before you order. Service parts are ordered per piece unless stated otherwise.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Order under 01010-06. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. Check diameter 46 mm, length 127.5 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. Öhlins gives the tube its diameter and its working length as a pair — a tube of the same bore but different length belongs to a different unit. Bore finish decides how well the piston band seals; a scored tube leaks damping past the piston.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 01010-06

Category: Cylinder Tubes

Diameter: 46 mm

Length: 127.5 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/01010-06_567fed34-2c72-4b16-8e2b-4877db222f77.png?v=1788872826
