DescriptionThe whole story▼
On a TRACER 900 the reservoir competes for space with everything else on the bars. The OBT009 is the rear bracket: 28.9 mm by 31 mm, black anodised, 10 g. There is no colour choice here — the OBT009 is black. LighTech lists it for the TRACER 900; mounting is straightforward and reversible.
Key Features
- Fitting the OBT009 to the TRACER 900 needs hand tools only
- Reversible — the original part goes back on the TRACER 900 any time
- It is the cheapest visible change on a TRACER 900
- Black anodised — LighTech makes this bracket in no other finish
- A stock LighTech item rather than a special order
- The rear bracket of the pair
Compatibility
LighTech lists the OBT009 for the Yamaha TRACER 900. It is an adaptable bracket, not a Yamaha part — measure the space on the TRACER 900 first.
In the Workshop
The OBT009 goes on with the TRACER 900 on its stand. Mount it so the reservoir sits above the master cylinder on the TRACER 900, never below. Keep the original parts — the change is fully reversible on the TRACER 900.
The Mount Decides the Fit
Two brackets exist for a reason: height and projection differ front to rear. Black anodised aluminium at 10 g, which is all the OBT009 needs to be. Black is the only finish LighTech makes it in.
The Second Part Number
LighTech sells this mount on its own. It is made for the LighTech reservoir range and fits none of the original parts. If you are starting from nothing on the TRACER 900, you need both lines on the order.
Maintenance
Check the bracket fasteners on the TRACER 900 at the same interval as the bar clamps. Nothing else about the OBT009 wears in normal use.
In the Package
LighTech ships the OBT009 on its own. Spares are listed under their own numbers rather than bundled.
Approval Status
A fluid reservoir is part of the braking system, and German law treats it that way. No approval paperwork comes with the OBT009 and we do not present it as approved. For a road-registered TRACER 900 in Germany, have the installation assessed before you rely on it — and have the system bled and checked by a workshop afterwards.
