DescriptionThe whole story▼
The JP ES 022 side stand eliminator is a plug-and-play electronic unit that stands in for the original side stand switch on the Ducati XDiavel V4. Designed with track preparation in mind, it lets the bike be started and run in gear once the stand is unbolted, and no part of the factory harness needs cutting.
Key Features
- Ducati XDiavel V4 (2025–2026)
- Electronic stand-in for the factory side stand switch
- Lets the XDiavel V4 start and run in gear with no stand fitted
- Plug-and-play connector, factory harness stays untouched
- Built specifically for the Ducati XDiavel V4
- Aimed at track preparation rather than road use without a stand
The switch this part replaces
On the XDiavel V4, the side stand switch is a safety interlock that stops the engine stalling in gear with the stand down; useful on public roads, it becomes an obstacle once a team strips the stand off for a track-only build.
How the signal is reproduced
The JP ES 022 does not simply delete the circuit; it generates the same signal the switch sends when stowed, so the XDiavel V4's control unit continuously reads a retracted stand even with no stand physically present. No separate power supply or additional relay is needed for this signal to work correctly.
Connecting it on the XDiavel V4
Its plug is shaped to match the XDiavel V4 harness exactly, taking the place of the original switch connector, so fitting it is a case of unplugging the old switch and plugging this unit in rather than rewiring anything. The whole job is typically finished within a few minutes once the old switch is disconnected.
Riding and starting without the stand
With the eliminator in place, the XDiavel V4 starts normally, idles without warning and can be put into gear and ridden off, behaving exactly as it would if the stand were present and folded up. Gearbox behaviour, clutch feel and ignition timing stay entirely unaffected by fitting this part.
A track-only intention
This device is meant for closed-course riding where a missing side stand is an accepted trade-off for less weight and clutter; it is not a suggestion to run the XDiavel V4 on the road without a stand. Teams usually store the removed stand and bracket separately for events where it must be refitted.
