DescriptionThe whole story▼
The bronze JP PDQ KT069 E switch bolts to the quick throttle on a KTM 1290 Super Adventure R (2017-2020), leaving the handlebar itself clear for the crash protection and navigation gear this off-road-capable model usually carries.

Space Claimed by Off-Road Gear
The Super Adventure R's bar is usually shared with handguards, a navigation tower and crash bars, which leaves little room for anything else. This switch earns its place by sitting on the throttle body instead of competing for that limited space.
A Finish That Shrugs Off Trail Grime
Anodised bronze resists the scuffs and dust that come with the R's off-road use better than a painted surface would, since the colour is part of the aluminium rather than a layer that can be scraped away. A painted finish would show that wear noticeably sooner on a bike ridden this way.
Nothing Without the Quick Throttle
There is no handlebar clamp on this part; it bolts exclusively to JetPrime's quick throttle. An R without that throttle already installed has no mounting point for this switch at all. Ordering it without the throttle already fitted simply buys a part with nowhere to go.
Reachable While Standing on the Pegs
Off-road sections often put a rider standing with a different grip angle than sitting does, and keeping the switch close to the throttle rather than further along the bar means it stays within easy reach in both positions. A control that only works from one riding position would be only half useful out here.
The Off-Road Variant, Treated Accordingly
The R trades some of the standard Super Adventure's road comfort for genuine off-road capability, carrying longer suspension travel and a more capable front wheel. Equipment choices on this version tend to follow that off-road priority rather than road convenience.
