Solo riding

Keep the pillion pegs and their screws together, so they are ready when someone rides along again.

Road Approval

For the Yamaha R1, Gilles states that this part does not require any approval. There is no certificate to carry.

Scope of Delivery

Two Gilles covers for the pillion peg holders (PPC-02), black. The pillion pegs you remove are not needed for fitting; keep them with their screws, because they are needed again as soon as you want to carry a passenger.

Fitting

Work on a clean, stable bike and keep the instructions at hand. Mount the part on the prepared surfaces, tighten evenly and make sure nothing rubs, touches or rattles when you turn the handlebar or sit on the bike. Re-check the screws after the first ride; from then on, a glance during routine maintenance is enough.
