DescriptionThe whole story▼

The M1000RR was built so that BMW could go racing in World Superbike, and many of these bikes end up in club racing and endurance events. For the BMW M1000RR from 2020 on, this MUE2 rearset is the natural companion: a track-ready peg position and a race shift pattern, with the option to stay road legal.

Key Features

  • Standard or reversed (race) shift pattern
  • Removable exhaust holder
  • Brake and shift levers on double ball bearings, free of play
  • Folding footpegs, as the road approval requires
  • Brake and shift pedal length adjustable to your boot
  • Road legal in Germany under ABE No. KBA 91506

Racing brings crashes, and spare parts

Anyone who races an M1000RR will eventually slide it. The pegs fold, which reduces the risk of snapping a bracket, and Gilles supplies every individual part of the system. A bent shift lever or a worn peg can be replaced on its own before the next race weekend.

Consistency over a race distance

Double ball bearings keep the brake and shift levers free of play for the whole race, not just the first laps. In the last corner of a long stint, the pedal feels exactly as it did at the start, which is what a rider needs when fatigue sets in.

Road Approval

Road use on the BMW M1000RR runs under ABE No. KBA 91506. Fit it as the instructions describe and nothing needs entering or inspecting; keep a printed copy of the certificate with the vehicle documents. The ABE itself asks for the headlight aim to be checked once the job is done and allows only the folding footpeg adapters on the road.

Scope of Delivery

Both sides of the rider rearset are supplied ready to fit: adapter plates, peg carriers with folding footpegs, brake pedal and shift lever with linkage, and heel guards on both sides. The fitting instructions are included, together with the ABE certificate.
