DescriptionThe whole story▼
Carrying full ABE road approval, the Fullsix Carbon SSP swingarm cover for the Ducati Panigale 1199, 1199 R and 1199 S is one of the few genuine carbon swingarm guards you can fit and ride legally on public roads without any registration formality. Manufactured from 100% real carbon fibre, it replaces the stock cover on a direct plug-and-play basis — no drilling, no modifications — while delivering measurable protection against stone strikes, scratches and grime accumulation that can degrade an exposed swingarm over time.
Key Features
- ABE approved — fully road-legal in Germany and across the EU, no individual vehicle registration required
- 100% genuine carbon fibre construction: ultralight, exceptionally rigid and fatigue-resistant
- Motorsport-tested under extreme track conditions, equally suited to daily road use
- Plug-and-play direct replacement for the OEM swingarm cover — zero modifications or drilling needed
- UV-stable and weatherproof — the finish will not fade, delaminate or suffer material fatigue
- Available in two carbon weave structures: 200 Plain (matching the factory Ducati carbon look) and 245 Twill (a more pronounced racing weave)
- Three surface finishes — Glossy, Matt and Raw — allowing you to match or complement your bike's existing livery
Road and Track Credentials
The SSP designation reflects the cover's pedigree in Supersport racing environments, where abrasion resistance and weight reduction matter equally. On the road, the ABE certification means your Ducati Panigale 1199 remains fully compliant with TÜV inspection requirements after fitment — a distinction that sets this part apart from many imported carbon accessories that demand costly homologation paperwork or simply cannot be used legally on public roads at all.
The carbon layup itself resists the constant bombardment of grit and small stones that an exposed swingarm faces on both the road and the pit lane. The glossy finish provides a deep, reflective surface that complements the Panigale's aggressive lines, while the matt option delivers a more understated, technical aesthetic. The raw finish is supplied without a topcoat, making it ideal as a base for custom paint or a full race livery.
Construction and Finish Options
Two distinct carbon weave structures are offered. The 200 Plain weave replicates the factory Ducati carbon pattern exactly, making this cover visually indistinguishable from a genuine Ducati carbon component. The 245 Twill weave features a more prominent diagonal pattern that many riders prefer for its bolder, motorsport-derived appearance. Both structures use the same high-grade carbon fibre and resin system, so there is no structural compromise between the two.
All three surface finishes — Glossy, Matt and Raw — are available across both weave structures (note: the 245 Twill is currently listed with the Glossy finish as part number MD-9912-TC16G). Each finish is UV-sealed at the factory to prevent colour shift and surface degradation in outdoor conditions.
