DescriptionThe whole story▼
When every tenth of a second counts on track, the Akrapovic Racing Line full exhaust system for the Kawasaki ZX-6R (2023–2026) delivers the kind of measurable, back-to-back performance gains that make it the first upgrade serious racers reach for. With a stainless steel header, titanium silencer shell, and carbon end cap, this complete system sheds 7.4 kg from the stock exhaust weight while unlocking an additional 9.7 hp and 5.0 Nm of torque — all verified on the dyno.
Key Features
- Massive 7.4 kg weight reduction over the OEM system (stock: 11.2 kg, Akrapovic: 3.8 kg) — transformative for handling and lap times
- Proven power gain of +9.7 hp, reaching 125.2 hp at 13,700 RPM on the ZX-6R
- Torque increase of +5.0 Nm measured at 6,400 RPM, sharpening mid-range response precisely where it matters on circuit
- Stainless steel header with lambda connection for clean fitment and exhaust gas compatibility
- Silencer constructed entirely from titanium — shell, internals and fittings — topped with a carbon end cap for minimal unsprung mass
- DB killer included, allowing controlled noise levels during practice and qualifying
- Optional exhaust bracket available (P-MBK6R2/A1) when passenger footpegs are removed
Race-bred Construction
The Racing Line designation signals that Akrapovic engineered this system without road-homologation constraints. Every design decision — from the mandrel-bent stainless steel header to the fully titanium silencer internals — prioritises outright performance over cost or compliance. The result is an exhaust that sounds as fast as it is: 108.8 dB at 6,750 RPM without the DB killer, a full 17.8 dB louder than the stock system's 91 dB. On track, that acoustic feedback is a genuine aid to finding the rev range.
Sound & Acoustic Performance
The carbon end cap is not merely cosmetic. Combined with the titanium construction throughout the silencer, it keeps the unit exceptionally light while channelling an unmistakably aggressive racing note. The included DB killer lets you dial the volume back for noise-limited trackdays or pit-lane regulations without removing the unit from the circuit.
Fitment & Compatibility
This system is designed as a direct-fit, complete replacement exhaust for the Kawasaki ZX-6R manufactured between 2023 and 2026. If the passenger footpegs are removed for a dedicated track configuration, the optional mounting bracket P-MBK6R2/A1 is available separately to ensure a clean installation.
This product is not road legal and is intended exclusively for closed-circuit racing use.
