DescriptionThe whole story▼

A Daytona 675 kept for years rather than seasons spends plenty of time resting on its rear stand through the colder months, which in Britain can mean a long stretch between one riding season and the next. Accossato's ST008 wraps its M8 aluminium bobbin in a rubber sleeve for that kind of extended contact, sold as a pair, anodised in seven colours, for the Daytona 675 of 2006 to 2016.

Key Features

  • Swingarm stand bobbins with rubber protection, Triumph Daytona 675 2006 to 2016
  • Sold as a pair, one bobbin per side
  • M8 thread
  • CNC-machined aluminium core, anodised
  • Rubber sleeve over the bobbin
  • Seven colours: blue, green, black, red, silver, titanium, gold
  • Without-rubber version ST002 also available
  • No German ABE on file; for track use

Construction and Material Quality

Strip the rubber off the ST008 and what remains matches the ST002 exactly: an M8 bobbin cut from aluminium on CNC machines and anodised, fitted to the Daytona 675's own swingarm holes. The sleeve goes over that core wherever a paddock stand's forks would otherwise contact bare metal, in the same seven colours, one bobbin fitted to each side of the swingarm.

A Long British Off-Season

Riders in Britain often put a sportbike like the Daytona 675 away for several months over winter rather than risk salted roads and short daylight, and that storage period means the rear stand carries the bike's weight for far longer than any single maintenance job would, often from late autumn until spring. The rubber on the ST008 is built for exactly that kind of patient, static load, keeping the anodised finish beneath it free of marks through a layover that can run longer here than it would further south, where riding seasons stretch on for longer.

Fitment and Compatibility

The Daytona 675's ST008 shares its swingarm holes with the ST002, both listed by Accossato for 2006 to 2016 without any change to the bike itself. This same rubber-sleeved M8 bobbin is also found elsewhere in our range, fitted to the Kawasaki Z1000SX. On the Daytona 675, Accossato also supplies the plain ST002 and the SA005 and SC005 steering stem nuts.

Road Approval

No ABE or test certificate is available to us for the ST008, so we list it for racing and competition use.
