DescriptionThe whole story▼
This is the Sintered (ST) edition of Accossato's AGPP91 rear pad for the Zero DSR 2016 to 2017 with the ZF13.0 battery. It suits owners who use their early DSR through autumn and winter, over wet passes and on long country rides. The sintered mix is designed to hold its grip level whatever the temperature, and to keep working when the rear wheel is throwing up spray.
Key Features
- AGPP91 rear pads for the Zero DSR 2016-2017 (ZF13.0)
- Sintered (ST) compound
- Accossato claims constant grip hot or cold
- Firm hold on wet roads
- Consistent pedal feel across the seasons
- Also offered for this pad: OR, STMX
- Two pads per box
Construction and Material Quality
The sintered compound, according to Accossato, keeps a high and stable grip level at high and low temperatures and grips well in the wet. That gives the rider a rear brake that behaves the same way whether the bike has stood overnight in the cold or has just come down a long hill. The company notes that its pads wear slowly, so a sintered set on the rear can last a good while on a touring bike.
Autumn Roads and Wet Leaves
Autumn brings damp tarmac, fallen leaves and early darkness. On those roads, riders tend to use the rear brake more gently and more often, feeling for grip before committing to the front. A sintered pad that responds consistently gives the Zero DSR rider a clear signal through the pedal. After a wet ride, spray off grit from the rear caliper and let it dry before parking the bike for long. Check that the pads move freely in the caliper, since trapped dirt can hold a pad against the disc.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPP91 for the rear caliper of the Zero DSR ZF13.0 in 2016 and 2017. The 2023 DSR uses AGPA29 at the rear. For the front, the early DSR needs AGPA92, the 2023 bike AGPA96. Replace both rear pads together and bed them in gently. Keep the old pads until the new set has been checked, so you can compare shape and thickness side by side. Take a short test ride at low speed before the first long trip.
Road Approval
Test documents or a German ABE have not been provided for these pads; they are sold for racing and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
Two sintered rear pads for one caliper.
