DescriptionThe whole story▼

This silver painted CY042 keeps the same 19 mm piston for dual-disc brakes and 18 mm pivot as the rest of the range, with the body forged and then painted silver instead of black, blue, green, red or fluorescent yellow. A black Revolution lever is fitted, adjustable for reach by adding or removing inserts rather than by swapping to a separate long or short lever.

Key Features

  • 19 mm piston diameter for dual-disc front brake systems
  • 18 mm lever pivot, for track use and also suited to the road
  • Revolution lever in black, length adjustable with inserts
  • Forged and painted body in silver
  • CNC-machined, fully made in Italy
  • Offset riser that limits body flex under hard braking
  • Stainless steel mounting screws and a zinc-plated bleed valve
  • Seals in Formula 1 compound material

Construction and Material Quality

The casting is forged in aluminium, machined on a CNC centre and then painted silver, a lighter finish than the black or the bright colours offered alongside it. The hardware fitted afterwards does not change with colour: stainless steel mounting screws, a zinc-plated bleed valve and Formula 1 compound seals. An offset riser resists the body flexing under hard braking, reducing the lever's passive travel by more than half against an ordinary radial unit.

A Painted Body for a Different Look

Choosing silver paint over the natural anodised or nickel-plated bodies sold on Accossato's unpainted cylinders gives a flatter, more uniform appearance than either of those metallic finishes, since the paint covers the machining marks completely rather than leaving them visible. Accossato positions this painted line as an aesthetic option for riders who want to match the master cylinder to the rest of the bike's colour scheme. Riders who already own a black or coloured Accossato lever elsewhere on the bike can still match this silver body to a bright anodised or painted lever cover separately, since the Revolution lever itself is always supplied in black.

Fitment and Compatibility

The silver CY042 is confirmed for the same 65 motorcycles as the rest of the range, including the Aprilia Shiver 900, BMW R1200R, Ducati Multistrada 950, Honda GL1800 Gold Wing and Suzuki GSX-R750; the Fitment tab lists the full range with model years. This 19x18 cylinder with the Revolution lever also comes with black, blue, green, red and fluorescent yellow painted bodies. This silver finish tends to suit bikes already carrying brushed or polished aluminium parts, where a bright painted colour would otherwise stand out more than intended.

Road Approval

This master cylinder is not supplied with German road-approval documentation; it is intended for track and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

The package includes the Accossato 19x18 radial brake master cylinder with the black Revolution lever, in the silver painted body finish. Stainless steel mounting screws, the zinc-plated bleed valve and the Formula 1 compound seals are assembled on the unit. The brake light switch (ID001 or ID002) and the fluid reservoir are not included.
