DescriptionThe whole story▼
Nine years is a long time for one clutch lever code to stay current, and the AGS01 manages it on the MT-09 without needing a colour split the way the brake lever does: one silver clutch control, 2014 to 2023, regardless of which facelift a particular bike wears. Accossato lists the AGS01 for the MT-09 across that span, a silver clutch lever in the original form.
Key Features
- Clutch lever in the original form for the Yamaha MT-09
- Accossato's entry covers 2014 to 2023, ABS included
- Silver
- Left-hand side, hydraulic clutch
- An original spare parts type, developed for good value for money
- Accossato states that its manufacturing process improves resistance after damage
- One lever per pack
- No German ABE, no test mark; listed for racing and competition
Construction and Material Quality
Nearly a decade under one code says something about how little the MT-09's cockpit changed through several rounds of styling updates, and the AGS01 is priced throughout that span the way every part in Accossato's original spare parts range is priced, for the cost of a repair. Its shape follows the clutch lever this bike has carried since launch, so riders moving between model years notice no difference in the control itself. A claim of better resistance after damage accompanies the part, without further technical detail, and none is invented here. Silver is the listed colour.
Nine Years, One Lever
Where the brake side of the MT-09 splits into a silver code and a black one for a specific three-year overlap, the clutch side never does: Accossato's data shows the AGS01 running continuously across almost the whole of this bike's production so far, through three distinct facelifts of the bodywork and the instrument panel. That continuity is good news for anyone maintaining an MT-09 of any age in this generation, since there is no finish or model-year puzzle to solve on the clutch side the way there sometimes is on the brake side of the same bike. The only check still worth doing before fitting is a visual one, confirming the old lever's shape matches the new part, since a bent blade can occasionally be mistaken for a different fitment entirely.
Fitment and Compatibility
The AGS01 clutch lever's 2014-2023 run on the MT-09 outlasts both brake finishes, the silver AGD221 at 2014-2020 and the black AGD287 at 2015-2017. Outside Yamaha, Aprilia lists the same clutch lever for the RSV4 1100 Factory and the Tuono 660 Factory. Accossato's CNC levers for this fitment are the EDF016 and ESV04A.
Road Approval
We hold no approval documents for the AGS01, so neither a German ABE nor a test mark is claimed here, and the lever is offered for racing and competition.
