The MY004 combines Accossato's quick throttle control with the GR002 grip for the Kawasaki ZX-6R (2013–2025). GR002 comes in a single fixed finish, so the eight anodised cap colours are the only visible choice left on the order. The housing is the usual two-piece aluminium build, CNC-machined, and the kit bundles the ZX014 cable set for this generation with three internal cams of 40, 43 and 45 mm.

Construction and Material Quality
Two CNC-machined aluminium halves, anodised in a choice of eight cap colours, make up the housing used across this range; the GR002 grip fitted to the MY004 does not draw on that colour chart, since it is supplied in one fixed finish. Inside, three cams of 40, 43 and 45 mm sit ready to be swapped, and this is the only part of the kit that changes how the throttle actually responds once installed, independent of the cap colour chosen, with the swap itself needing nothing more than opening the housing.
Keeping the Cable Routing Original
A ZX-6R used mainly on the road, rather than built out for track days, often needs nothing more from a throttle upgrade than a cable that has not stretched with age and a housing that still looks factory-fresh; the fixed GR002 finish supports that understated approach better than a bright two-tone grip would, while the ZX014 cable set restores the throttle's original feel rather than changing it. The cam set is still there to be used if a sharper response is wanted later, without needing to buy a different kit.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato cuts the ZX014 cable set to fit the current ZX-6R across its full 2013 to 2025 run, so the registration year alone is normally enough to confirm fitment, listed in detail in the Fitment tab on this page. It is a different part from the ZX004 cable set sold for the earlier, pre-2017 ZX-6R, and the two should not be assumed interchangeable, even though both are described in Accossato's data simply as a ZX-6R cable set.
Road Approval
There is no ABE or parts certificate documented by Accossato for the MY004; registration rules depend on the country, so check before road use. As with any throttle control, make sure the grip returns on its own to the idle position once fitted.
