DescriptionThe whole story▼

Wide bars, a low single seat and fat tyres front and rear give the V9 Bobber a stance built around attitude rather than wind protection, a bike meant to be looked at from the side as much as it is ridden, parked outside a cafe rather than hidden in a garage. Accossato's SA006 fits that build at the top of the forks, an open steering stem nut, M29x1 thread, aluminium anodised in seven colours, for the V9 Bobber of 2016 to 2018.

Key Features

  • Steering stem nut, open pattern, for the Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber
  • Accossato's years: 2016 to 2018
  • M29x1 thread
  • CNC-machined aluminium, anodised
  • Seven colours: blue, green, black, red, silver, titanium, gold
  • Fixes the upper triple clamp to the steering stem
  • Closed version SC006 also listed for this bike
  • No German ABE on file; for track use

Construction and Material Quality

Aluminium becomes the SA006 on Accossato's CNC machines, then takes one of seven anodised colours, blue, green, black, red, silver, titanium or gold. Its M29x1 thread matches the V9 Bobber's steering stem, and as the open pattern it leaves the stem's top visible with the thread still showing once torqued, a contrast to the closed SC006 made for the same bike.

A Low, Wide Cockpit

The Bobber's wide bars put the rider's eyes almost directly above the top yoke, closer than on most other bikes in this range, so whatever colour sits on the steering stem nut is one of the first details anyone notices from the saddle before even pulling away, let alone a passer-by looking the bike over while it is parked. Black or titanium keeps the nut nearly invisible against the bike's dark theme, while gold or red turns it into a small deliberate accent that still reads from a distance. The work to fit it remains steering head maintenance, carried out to the torque and bearing figures in the V9's own workshop manual rather than guessed at, usually while the forks are already apart for something else.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists the SA006 for the Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber from 2016 to 2018, fitting the steering stem of that generation. Elsewhere in our range, the open nut's M29x1 thread also serves the Moto Guzzi Stelvio 8V NTX 1200 and the V7 III Special. For the V9 Bobber itself, Accossato also offers the closed SC006.

Road Approval

No ABE or test certificate is available to us for the SA006, so it is sold for racing and competition use.

Scope of Delivery
