DescriptionThe whole story▼

Kawasaki sold the ER-6F as a half-faired, approachable middleweight from 2006 to 2016, a bike many riders used as a step up from a smaller machine. Its filler takes the M20x2.5 thread, and Accossato's FP004 fits it, CNC-machined aluminium anodised in eight colours in place of the plain original cap.

Key Features

  • Oil filler cap for the Kawasaki ER-6F, 2006 to 2016
  • Thread M20x2.5, the size Accossato quotes
  • Aluminium, CNC-machined, anodised
  • Eight colours: blue, green, black, orange, red, silver, titanium, gold
  • Shared thread with machines from other manufacturers
  • TS005 front brake reservoir cap also listed for this bike
  • No German ABE on file; offered for competition use
  • A simple upgrade for a bike often kept for years

Construction and Material Quality

Cut from aluminium on CNC machines and anodised afterwards, the FP004 comes in eight colours, running from restrained titanium and silver to bold orange and gold. An ER-6F often stays with the same owner for a long stretch, upgraded gradually rather than all at once, and a coloured filler cap is a natural early addition, one that holds its finish through years of weather rather than fading the way paint would. M20x2.5 is the thread figure that decides fit.

A Bike Owners Tend to Keep

Half-faired middleweights like the ER-6F often become long-term bikes rather than stepping stones, which makes consistent maintenance habits worth building early. Check oil level cold and level, before the filler is touched, with the area around it wiped clean first. The FP004 then threads in by hand, and a check underneath after the next ride confirms the seal is sound. A bike kept this long tends to accumulate small upgrades one at a time, and a filler cap is as sensible a place to start as any of them.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists the FP004 for the Kawasaki ER-6F across 2006 to 2016. The same bike also takes the TS005 front brake reservoir cap, so the two can be fitted together in one colour. Because the M20x2.5 thread decides fit, the identical cap also suits other manufacturers' machines, including several Ducati models, a fact worth noting if the ER-6F is ever traded in for something altogether larger down the line.

Road Approval

No ABE or comparable paperwork for the FP004 has been provided to us, so it is listed for competition use.

Scope of Delivery
