DescriptionThe whole story▼

The Street Cup borrows its half fairing and clip-on bars from café racer tradition, and owners of this Triumph like to be seen on the cobbled streets of old town centres where that look was born. Cobbles and the tram or cart tracks sometimes still set into them are an acquired skill: narrow, polished grooves that can trap a front wheel at low speed and twist the bars faster than a rider expects. Accossato lists the TP093 crash pads for the Street Cup of 2017 and 2018.

Key Features

  • Crash pads for the Triumph Street Cup, 2017 and 2018
  • Accossato TP093, two pads in the pack
  • CNC-machined aluminium body
  • Anodised insert in blue, green, black, red, silver or gold
  • Matching screw cover offered as a variant
  • Same code also listed for several related Triumph models
  • Ask us before ordering whether drilling is needed
  • No German ABE documented; for track and competition use

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato machines the TP093 from aluminium and fits an anodised insert, available in six colours, with a matching screw cover as an optional extra. Two pads make up the pack. Positioned close to the frame of the Street Cup, they are meant to be the first thing that touches down if the bike tips over on an awkward surface, which can reduce the harm to the frame and the half fairing nearby. They will mark with use, and a pad that has taken a hard knock should be replaced rather than kept.

Old Grooves in the Cobbles

Historic streets often still carry the narrow metal or stone grooves once used by trams and carts, worn smooth and barely visible against the surrounding cobbles until a front wheel drops into one. At walking pace, a groove can tug the Street Cup's front end sideways just enough to surprise a rider who was looking at the scenery rather than the road surface directly ahead. Wet cobbles make the problem worse, since both the stone and any trapped moss or lichen in the gaps turn slippery in a way that tarmac rarely does. Riding slowly and deliberately over this kind of surface, with the bars held loosely rather than fighting every small tug, reduces the chance of a low-speed tumble. If the Street Cup does go down on cobbles, the crash pads take that first contact; check them along with the mirror and lever before continuing through the old town.

Fitment and Compatibility

For the Street Cup, Accossato's application list names the 2017 and 2018 model years, and that is how we have listed it. The identical TP093 pads turn up elsewhere in our shop too, fitted to the Bonneville Bobber, the T100 and T120, the Street Twin, and both versions of the Thruxton. Some motorcycles on Accossato's wider list need the fairing drilled for these pads; the list itself does not say which, so get in touch before you order if you want to be sure about your Street Cup.

Road Approval

No ABE or test mark is on file for the TP093, so we offer it for racing and competition purposes.

Scope of Delivery
