DescriptionThe whole story▼

A Street Rally on a fast, sweeping road shows how much of the MT-09's sporting character survives under the rally styling. For owners who enjoy that, Accossato lists the AGPA97EV1, the front pad for the 2014 to 2016 Street Rally in the EV1 street/track compound. It is aimed at riders who like brisk road riding and might take the bike on an open track day, and who want a more immediate bite than the everyday compounds provide.

Key Features

  • Front pads for the Yamaha MT-09 Street Rally, 2014 to 2016
  • Article AGPA97EV1 in the EV1 street/track compound
  • Accossato claims excellent grip on road and at amateur track level
  • For brisk road riding and open track days
  • Two pads in each box, one set for one caliper
  • The Street Rally has two front calipers, so two boxes are needed
  • Plate also made in OR, ST, EV2 and ZXC
  • No German ABE on file; offered for track and competition

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato's EV1 sits between its everyday and racing compounds. The company describes it as giving excellent grip for road riding and amateur circuit use. On the Street Rally's AGPA97 plate, it fits in the same way as the other compounds but offers a sharper response. Accossato's design aims of limited heat and reduced fade apply.

Sweeping Roads and Quick Stops

On fast, open roads, the Street Rally carries speed easily, and stops for tighter bends come up quickly. A pad that responds as soon as the lever is touched lets the rider adjust speed precisely without grabbing. EV1 is designed to give that response while still working acceptably on a cold morning. If the bike goes to an open track day, prepare it with fresh fluid, a disc inspection and plenty of pad material. Remember that the Street Rally's age means hoses and seals may need attention before heavy track use. On a road ride, stay aware that a fast group can tempt you into braking later than your sight lines allow; the pad gives bite, not visibility.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato catalogues the AGPA97 for the front of the Yamaha MT-09 Street Rally for 2014 to 2016, with the AGPP88 for the rear. Two front calipers require two boxes, fitted together. Clean the pistons, check disc thickness, and replace old fluid. Accossato's DK077 and DKS073 discs are also listed for this bike. Bed in the pads before riding hard.

Road Approval

This EV1 pad has no German ABE or test certificate in our records. The AGPA97EV1 is therefore offered for circuit and competition use.

Scope of Delivery
