DescriptionThe whole story▼

The Kawasaki ER-6 F is a middleweight machine used for both commuting and longer road rides, and its brakes see a wide range of use between the two. Accossato's AGF4771 is a braided brake hose kit for the ER-6 F built between 2012 and 2016, replacing the factory rubber brake line with 3 hoses in Full-Length layout, where each line runs straight from the master cylinder to its own caliper.

Key Features

  • Braided brake hose kit for the Kawasaki ER-6 F, 2012 to 2016
  • Full-Length layout, with each hose running directly from the master cylinder to its own caliper
  • Kit supplied as 3 braided hoses
  • Stainless steel fittings throughout
  • Sheath available in 20 colours
  • Direct replacement for the factory rubber brake line on this specific model and year range
  • Aeronautical-grade braid construction

Construction and Material Quality

The braid on this ER-6 F kit is an aeronautical-grade stainless-steel weave over the hose core, picked for resisting the stretch that lets a rubber line swell slightly under hard braking, across the 2012 to 2016 production run. All three fittings in this kit are produced in stainless steel; Accossato supplies the AGF4771 only in that plain finish, with no painted option. The sheath comes in 20 colours, leaving the braid's appearance entirely up to the buyer even though the fittings stay a single finish. With one variable fixed and one open, choosing this kit mostly comes down to picking a braid colour.

Full-Length Layout and Hose Routing

The Full-Length layout fitted to this ER-6 F kit gives each of the three hoses its own run from the master cylinder straight to the caliper it serves, front and rear, rather than any hose sharing its length with another. That means there is no point along the system where one hose's flex or position could affect another line's braking. Each of the three hoses still has to be routed along the bike's existing path, clipped where the original line was clipped, and the whole system bled once everything is connected, since trapped air is what stops a stiffer braided line from being felt at the lever.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists the AGF4771 for the Kawasaki ER-6 F across the 2012 to 2016 model years, built to the Full-Length layout. The same bike is also covered by the AGF4772, built to an Over-the-Mudguard layout instead; the two kits route the lines differently, so check which layout matches the hoses already fitted to your bike before ordering either one.

Road Approval

Accossato documents no ABE or parts certificate for the AGF4771, so the kit is supplied for track and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

Included in this kit are 3 braided brake hoses built to the Full-Length layout. Banjo bolts and sealing washers are not confirmed as included, so check the existing hardware on the bike before fitting.
