Ordering a part for a motorcycle usually begins with a date. Which model year, which facelift, which of the two housings the factory used before and after some quiet mid-cycle change — get it wrong and a box arrives that does not fit. This fitment list has none of that. One unbroken span, 2020 to 2026, seven model years, and not a single split anywhere on it. For a ZT 125 owner the year check that normally decides the part number decides nothing at all, and there is a second, less comfortable side to the same fact.

Seven years on one part number

An unchanged intake case across seven seasons is good news for anyone who keeps a motorcycle a long time. Supply does not hang on one production run, and the code is not going to be superseded the moment somebody's stock runs out. The other half of it is arithmetic: a 2020 machine has been breathing through whatever panel it left the factory with for six seasons now, unless somebody has renewed it. Filters do not fail loudly. They tighten by degrees while the injection quietly compensates, and the rider adjusts to it without noticing there was anything to adjust to.

Bought once instead of repeatedly

The SM276S is not a faster-bike part and does not pretend to be one; on a 125 the output limit belongs to the licence class, and the intake panel was never what was holding the engine back. Its argument is simpler. Compressed air restores it, so the same element serves the whole seven years and the ones after them, and inspecting it stops being a decision about whether to spend money. That matters more than it sounds: a check with no purchase attached at the end of it is a check that actually happens.

Care and cleaning

Air line first, always applied to the clean side and directed outwards — two minutes and the routine service is done. Where a deposit resists, wash the element in lukewarm water with a drop of mild detergent and rinse it until the run-off is clear. Then air-dry it fully, at ambient temperature, and refit it dry.
