DescriptionThe whole story▼
The GSX-R750 has shared its chassis with the smaller GSX-R600 since 2006, closely enough that Melotti Racing's GP top yoke was developed for both bikes at once rather than as two separate designs. On the GSX-R750, where the extra displacement puts more load through the front end under braking, that shared plate still has to do the same two jobs: stay flexible enough through the apex that the rider feels what the front tyre is doing, and stay rigid enough under hard braking that it does not feel vague at the point where confidence matters most.
Key Features
- GP top yoke for the GSX-R750, a new design rather than a modified stock plate
- Built in aluminium alloy using CNC machines with 3D technology
- High flexibility under lateral loads for better feel turning into a corner
- Weight saving of over 120 grams compared with the stock top plate
- Vernier adjustment for the clip-on position
- Finished with black anodising and supplied with stainless steel, truncated-cone-head screws
Construction and Material Quality
Melotti Racing machines this top yoke from an aluminium alloy billet on CNC machines using 3D technology, saving more than 120 grams over the stock GSX-R750 top plate while keeping deliberate flex built into the design under lateral load. On a heavier-braking bike like the GSX-R750, that balance of flex and rigidity is tuned so the plate still transmits clear feel at turn-in without losing composure when the front brake lever comes on hard at the end of a straight. The finish is black anodised, with stainless steel, truncated-cone-head mounting screws.
A Shared Steering Plate Across Two Classes
Running a GSX-R600 and a GSX-R750 in the same team or garage is common in club racing, and because Melotti Racing lists one GP top yoke for both bikes, the parts bin, spares holding and even the clip-on vernier setup can be shared between them rather than duplicated. For a privateer moving up from the 600 to the 750 class, or back down for a particular grid, the top yoke and its adjustment habits carry straight across instead of being relearned.
Fitment and Compatibility
Melotti Racing lists this GP top yoke for the GSX-R750 built from 2006 onward, and the same part is also listed for the Suzuki GSX-R600 (2006-2026). Confirm your exact model year with us before ordering if you are not certain it is covered.
Road Approval
No type approval or test certificate is on file for this top yoke, so Melotti Racing sells it for racetrack and closed-circuit use. A GSX-R750 fitted with it may not be ridden on public roads in Germany without separate registration, and at race events the organiser's own rules apply.
Scope of Delivery
