DescriptionThe whole story▼
The JP ES 012 handles one specific circuit on the Panigale V4 S: the tail light, watched separately from the indicators, the brake light and the number plate lamp.
Key Features
- Ducati Panigale V4 S (2018–2024)
- Answers the rear light monitoring circuit
- No lamp failure warning on the panel
- Plugs into Ducati's own connector
- Nothing cut, nothing spliced
- Standard tail unit refits at any time
Brembo Stylema
Current generation calipers with cornering ABS behind them. The braking package matches the engine, which has not always been true of fast motorcycles.
Why an LED Unit Trips It
A diode array draws a fraction of what a filament bulb did, and the monitoring circuit reads that difference as a burnt-out lamp. The warning appears even though the light works perfectly.
Heat
A load resistor turns the missing current into warmth, so the body is designed to sit where air moves rather than buried against a plastic panel.
On a Naked or an Adventure Bike
There is generally more room and better access, which makes the same job shorter still. The connector itself is identical.
Keep What Comes Off
The standard tail unit and its fasteners belong in a labelled bag. The person who eventually needs them may well not be you.
No Software Involved
Nothing is flashed, adapted or written to the controller. The eliminator works entirely through the electrical load it presents at the connector.
Nothing Is Flashed
No software is written and no parameter edited. The eliminator works entirely through the load it presents, which is why it needs no configuration at all.
Clearing What Was Already Logged
The eliminator stops new entries; it does not remove old ones. Where the warning has been present for months, a diagnostic tool clears the record in seconds and leaves a history that means something to whoever reads it next.
The S Specification
Electronic suspension, forged wheels and a different exhaust, but the same rear lighting arrangement as the standard machine. The tail circuit behaves identically on both, which is why one part number covers them and why the conversion is the same evening either way.
A Machine That Sees Circuits
More of these are trailered to track days than any other Ducati, and the rear lighting is the first thing to come off when they arrive. Answering the circuit means the ride home afterwards happens without a panel warning for the whole journey.
