DescriptionThe whole story▼
The JP ES 075 answers for the M1000 XR's number plate lamp once the bracket has been removed.
Key Features
- BMW M1000 XR (2024–2026)
- Replaces the number plate light in the circuit
- No lamp failure warning on the panel
- Plugs into BMW's own connector
- For a bike with no plate bracket
- Standard light refits at any time
Its Own Circuit
The plate lamp is monitored independently of everything else at the back of the motorcycle, which is why removing the hanger produces a warning on its own.
Usually a Tail Tidy
An M1000 XR is more likely to lose its plate bracket to a tidier aftermarket hanger than to a race tail, and the electrical result is identical.
Presenting the Load
The eliminator supplies what the circuit expects, so the panel clears and nothing is stored for a later scan.
Two Hundred and One Horsepower With Panniers
BMW put the M engine specification into a crossover with luggage mounts and radar cruise control. Nothing else on sale does both.
Carbon Bodywork
Used where the panels are both visible and structural rather than as decoration, which is the same approach BMW takes on the RR.
Nothing Else Is Affected
Cruise control, radar and the rider aids all read other sensors entirely and continue working exactly as before.
Plugged In
BMW's own connector, no adapters and nothing spliced.
Reversible
Refit the bracket and lamp and unplug the eliminator at any point.
Check Both Circuits
The tail light is monitored separately, so a bike missing both needs two eliminators rather than one.
Road Legality
A plate without illumination is not legal in most European markets.
A Category of One
There is no direct rival to a two hundred horsepower crossover with pannier mounts, radar and carbon bodywork. BMW built it because nobody else would and it has found more buyers than the concept suggests.
Screen, Seat and Cruise Survived
Everything on the touring side of the specification came through the M treatment intact, which is why these get ridden across countries rather than trailered to circuits.
