DescriptionThe whole story▼
Autoclave-cured carbon in a single-piece monocoque shell — this is how Fullsix redefined what a fuel tank can be. Designed exclusively for track use on the Ducati Panigale 959 (2016–2019), this carbon fuel tank combines a signature race-bred aesthetic with a structural integrity no conventional two-piece tank can match. Whether you choose the classic 200 Plain weave that echoes Ducati's factory carbon language or the finely-structured 245 Twill for a more contemporary racing look, the finish is a statement before you even start the engine.
Key Features
- Approximately 40% lighter than the OEM fuel tank, delivering immediate and measurable handling gains on track
- Autoclave Composite Monocoque (ACM) construction — one seamless shell with no seams, no weld lines and no leak risk
- Identical 17-litre capacity to the standard tank, so fuel strategy remains unchanged
- Direct plug-and-play fitment to OEM mounting points — no drilling, cutting or modification required
- UV- and weather-resistant finish that will not yellow, fade or suffer material fatigue over time
- Available in two carbon weave structures (200 Plain and 245 Twill) and four surface finishes (Glossy, Matt, Raw and Satin)
Design, Finish and Heritage
Fullsix has been setting the standard for autoclave carbon components in premier-class motorsport for decades. Every tank in this range is laid up and cured in an autoclave — the same process used in aerospace and Formula 1 — resulting in a higher fibre-to-resin density than vacuum-infused or hand-laid alternatives. The outcome is a component that is simultaneously lighter, stiffer and more durable than what left the Ducati factory.
The 200 Plain weave carries the close-knit carbon grid that reads as a natural evolution of the Panigale's own factory carbon options. The 245 Twill delivers the diagonal diamond pattern associated with modern superbike racing and pairs particularly well with aftermarket carbon bodywork. Both structures are available in Glossy (high-gloss clear coat), Matt, Satin and Raw (uncoated) finishes, each with its own part number to ensure you receive exactly the specification ordered.
Monocoque Construction — Why It Matters
Conventional aluminium or plastic fuel tanks are produced in two halves and joined at a seam. That seam is the tank's weakest point — susceptible to flex, micro-fractures and, ultimately, fuel weepage. The Fullsix ACM monocoque eliminates the seam entirely. The tank is formed as a single continuous carbon shell, distributing stress evenly across the structure and removing the principal failure point. For a track machine subjected to hard braking forces, lateral cornering loads and the constant vibration of a high-revving twin, that engineering decision translates directly into long-term reliability.
Installation
The Fullsix carbon fuel tank is engineered to replace the OEM unit on a one-to-one basis. All factory mounting points are replicated precisely, meaning the tank drops into the frame without any modification to the chassis, fuel lines or airbox interface. Remove the standard tank, position the Fullsix unit, secure it at the original mounting points and the bike is ready for circuit use.
Fitment and Compatibility
This tank is manufactured specifically for the following model:
- Ducati Panigale 959 — model years 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019
Please note: this is a motorsport component produced exclusively for closed-circuit (track) use. It does not carry road-use type approval and must not be used on public roads.
