DescriptionThe whole story▼

Luggage, a passenger and rain all put more weight on the rear brake of a Yamaha XSR700 XTRIBUTE. For owners of the 2019 to 2022 model who ride in every season, Accossato offers the rear pad AGPP88 in the Sintered compound, SKU AGPP88ST. It suits riders who tour two-up, head out on damp autumn mornings or ride gravel roads with a loaded tail rack, and who want the pedal to feel the same from start to finish.

Key Features

  • Sintered (ST) rear pad, SKU AGPP88ST
  • For the Yamaha XSR700 XTRIBUTE, 2019 to 2022
  • Accossato: steady grip at high and low temperatures
  • Good wet-weather grip, per Accossato
  • Helps with a passenger or luggage
  • One set for the single rear caliper
  • Front pad AGPA97 in five compounds

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato says the Sintered compound keeps a high, even level of grip whether the brake is hot or cold and grips well in wet conditions. On the rear of an XSR700 XTRIBUTE carrying a second rider, that steadiness helps the bike settle predictably. Accossato also states that its pads resist fade by limiting heat and wear slowly; we mention that once and leave the rest to the product itself.

Two-Up and All Seasons

With a passenger aboard, the rear brake carries more of the load, especially when you slow for a bend on a descent. A Sintered pad keeps the pedal feel even as conditions change, from a cold start in the morning to a warm brake after a long downhill. That makes it a good fit for riders who use their XSR700 XTRIBUTE for weekend trips with bags, or who commute through winter drizzle. Owners who ride solo and mostly in dry town traffic might prefer the OR version instead.

Fitment and Compatibility

This rear pad is catalogued by Accossato for the Yamaha XSR700 XTRIBUTE from 2019 to 2022, listed as XSR 700 X TRIBUTE. There is one rear caliper, so a single box is enough. For the front of the XSR700 XTRIBUTE, Accossato supplies AGPA97 for the same years. Keep the rear disc clean, since chain lube spray can reach it, check the brake fluid in the rear reservoir and bed in the new pads with a few gentle stops.

Road Approval

We have no ABE or other approval documentation for this pad, so it is sold for competition and racing use.

Scope of Delivery

Two Sintered pads for the rear caliper in one box.
