DescriptionThe whole story▼
In many families, the RS4 125 is the first motorcycle in the garage. Aprilia built it from 2011 to 2017 as a small four-stroke sports bike in the style of its own V4 superbike, for riders on a 125 licence, which in many countries means teenagers. First bikes get dropped, and the parent paying for repairs soon learns which parts suffer first. The front brake lever is near the top of that list. Accossato's AGDS600 replaces it with a silver lever in original shape, developed as an economical spare.

Construction and Material Quality
What Accossato tells us about the AGDS600 fits into a few lines. It is an original spare parts type, made in the form of the RS4 125's standard brake lever, and it was designed to be good value, which matters on a bike whose running costs are often paid from a first wage or by parents. Accossato also reports that its production method helps these levers withstand damage and falls better. The colour is silver. We know no more than that and prefer not to guess.
A Repair for Two Pairs of Hands
Replacing a brake lever is a good first workshop job to share with a young rider. It is quick, needs only basic tools and explains a lot about how the front brake works. With the RS4 125 standing securely, remove the pivot bolt and the old lever, clean the bolt and its bore and give both a light coat of grease. Fit the new lever so that it pushes the master cylinder piston without binding and leaves the small free play the handbook describes. Two checks follow, and they are worth doing together. Switch on the ignition and see whether the brake light reacts the moment the lever moves, then squeeze the lever several times with the bike standing until the pressure point feels firm and consistent. It is also the right moment to explain why a bent lever is always replaced and never bent back.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGDS600 for the RS4 125 from 2011 to 2017, and the same lever is catalogued for the RS4 50, the two-stroke sister model. On the left of the RS4 125 the clutch lever is a different part, the AGS45, also silver and in original shape, so check which side is damaged before ordering. For the clutch side, Accossato additionally offers the CNC clutch lever ESS248. If the bike has had several owners, compare the lever on it with our photos, since an aftermarket part may have been fitted along the way.
Road Approval
We have not received any test or approval documents for the AGDS600, for instance an ABE, and so we list it for race and competition use.
