DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Z1000SX adds a half-fairing and mirrors to the naked Z1000's platform, aimed more at covering distance than cutting a stripped-back look, and when those mirrors come off for a trackday, Accossato's block-off covers close the vacated mounts cleanly. CNC-machined in aluminium and anodised to order, the pair threads into the fairing's mirror mount using the same tools as removing the mirror, closing off what would otherwise be left open to wind or water.
Key Features
- Mirror block-off covers for the Kawasaki Z1000SX, 2011-2018
- CNC-machined aluminium, anodised finish
- Sold as a pair, one cover per mirror mount
- Seven colours: blue, green, black, red, silver, titanium, gold
- Compatible with other motorcycles sharing the same mount
- ST002 and ST008 are also listed for this Z1000SX
- No German ABE on file; offered for track use
Construction and Material Quality
Each cover begins as a block of aluminium, shaped on CNC machinery to the mirror mount's thread and profile, then anodised in one of seven colours: blue, green, black, red, silver, titanium or gold. Accossato finishes every mirror cover it makes the same way, so this pair matches the fit and quality of the equivalent part sold for any other motorcycle using the same mount, with nothing cut back to make it bike specific.
Covering More Ground Without the Mirrors
A Z1000SX taken to the circuit still carries the sport-touring half-fairing that sets it apart from the base Z1000, and losing the mirrors for that day leaves two open mounts that would otherwise sit exposed to wind and grit between sessions. A block-off cover closes each one, using the same tools already needed to take the mirror off, and stays fitted through transport and storage without needing attention again. Many owners who track a Z1000SX leave the covers on permanently rather than refitting mirrors between road use and the circuit.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists this pair for the Z 1000 SX built between 2011 and 2018. That single listing covers the whole run of model years without any narrower split by version. Swingarm bobbins ST002 and ST008, both threaded M8 for the same bike, are also listed for this Z1000SX.
Road Approval
No test or approval documents, including an ABE, sit in our files for these covers, so they are offered for racing and competition use.
