DescriptionThe whole story▼
Among the CB1100 models, the EX is the most traditional one: wire-spoked wheels, plenty of chrome and a shape that could have come straight from a showroom decades ago. On a bike like this, every part in view either belongs or stands out, and the brake lever is right in front of you on every ride. Accossato's EDF018 gives the CB1100EX of 2014 to 2019 a machined brake lever with a black hub and a blade in one of seven anodised colours.
Key Features
- Brake lever for the Honda CB1100EX, 2014 to 2019
- Mounts on the original master cylinder
- Blade in silver, black, gold, blue, red, green or orange; hub always black
- Silver made in standard and short, black and red in standard only
- Standard length about 138 mm; long blade in blue, gold, green and orange
- Adjustable distance to the grip
- CNC-machined, anodised aluminium; fixed blade
Construction and Material Quality
The EDF018 is CNC-machined from aluminium and anodised, the process that gives it both its colour and its hard surface. Anodising turns the outer layer of the metal itself into the coloured skin, so the finish cannot flake the way paint or plating sometimes does. The hub, holding the pivot and the reach adjuster, is always black; the blade carries the colour and is fixed rigidly to the hub, with no folding joint. Clean machined edges and an even anodised surface sit well next to the polished and chromed parts of the CB1100EX without trying to imitate them.
Chrome, Spokes and a Coloured Blade
Choosing the colour is the most personal decision here, and the EX suggests a few natural directions. Silver stays closest to the bare-metal look of spoked wheels and polished covers, and it is made in the standard and the short length. Black is the most discreet option: the blade then matches the hub and the switchgear, and the lever almost disappears. Gold can work as a warm accent against a dark tank, while red, blue, green or orange suit owners who want the controls to echo their paintwork; whether that looks right depends on your bike's colour, so hold a picture of the blade next to the tank before deciding. If you plan to change the clutch lever too, order both in the same colour, since a single coloured lever draws attention to itself. Whatever you pick, the black hub ties the lever to the dark parts of the handlebar, which helps any colour look deliberate on the CB1100EX.
Fitment and Compatibility
The EDF018 fits the CB1100EX from 2014 to 2019 and mounts on the original master cylinder. Accossato's own list starts earlier, but the EX with its spoked wheels only came to Europe for the 2014 model year, so this product is limited to the years in which the bike was actually built. The same brake lever appears on Accossato's list for the standard CB1100 and the RS, and the matching clutch lever for the EX is the ESH033, made in the same colours and lengths. Long blades are limited to blue, gold, green and orange.
Road Approval
There is no documented German ABE for this lever, so we sell it as a part for the track.
