Port area sets how much oil can pass before the shims begin to lift. A scored piston face means oil bypasses the shims entirely. Öhlins machines the ports rather than casting them, so the edges stay sharp and the flow predictable.

Why the Original

This is an original Öhlins part, not an aftermarket equivalent — the tolerances are the ones the unit was assembled to. An original part keeps the unit within its published specification; a near-equivalent quietly moves it. Tell us the damper's model designation and year and we will match the number for you. Öhlins parts are unit-specific: a close dimension is not a substitute.

Identifying the Right Part

15026-03 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. Öhlins states dimension a 46 mm, dimension b 11.3 mm, dimension c 1.25 mm for this number, and those figures are the deciding ones. Port area and shim seat geometry decide the damping curve before any adjuster is touched. Valves and needles set the adjustable part of the damping; the piston sets the rest.

Fitting and Setup Service

Fitting service parts means opening a pressurised unit. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do that here, with the right tools and a dyno check afterwards — just ask.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 15026-03

Category: Piston Bands

Dimension A: 46 mm

Dimension B: 11.3 mm

Dimension C: 1.25 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/15026-03_5fd56361-e053-4050-97c3-5064c602ad08.png?v=1788875955
