Öhlins machines its pistons rather than sintering them, which is why the port edges stay sharp. Valves and needles set the adjustable part of the damping; the piston sets the rest. Öhlins machines the ports rather than casting them, so the edges stay sharp and the flow predictable.

Why the Original

Öhlins publishes dimensions for its service parts so a workshop can verify before it fits. An original part keeps the unit within its published specification; a near-equivalent quietly moves it. Tell us the damper's model designation and year and we will match the number for you. Send us the model and serial number of your unit and we will confirm the position before you order.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Part number 06234-11 is unambiguous; the description alone is not, because Öhlins uses similar wording across sizes. This position has no published dimension, so the part number is the only reliable identifier. Öhlins machines its pistons rather than sintering them, which is why the port edges stay sharp. Piston bands are consumables — they wear against the bore and lose their seal gradually.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 06234-11

Category: Pistons

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/06234-11_af307b80-2c30-4a30-8181-56dcc266b392.png?v=1788875237
