DescriptionThe whole story▼

The Kawasaki Versys 1000 S is often ridden two-up with luggage on long weekends, and winter commuters also rely on it through rain and cold. For both uses, Accossato lists the AGPP88 rear pad in the Sintered mixture for the 2021 to 2024 Versys 1000 S. It is designed to keep a steady grip across temperatures and to work well on wet discs, giving the rider a rear brake that stays predictable in any season.

Key Features

  • Rear pads AGPP88 for the Kawasaki Versys 1000 S, 2021 to 2024
  • Sintered mixture, SKU AGPP88ST
  • Accossato: stable grip at low and high temperatures
  • Dependable on wet roads
  • Suits two-up weekends and winter riding
  • Also available as OR
  • No ABE on file; for track use

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato describes this compound as offering a high, stable grip level at all temperatures, with good performance in the wet. On the rear of a Versys 1000 S carrying a passenger, that means the pedal responds predictably whether the road is cold and damp or warm and dry. Heat control is part of Accossato's approach, to limit fading. The sintered block is bonded to the standard AGPP88 plate.

Passenger, Luggage, Rain

With a passenger on board, the rear brake becomes more important, since more weight sits over the rear wheel. In wet weather, a pad that grips consistently helps the rider use that extra capacity with confidence, particularly on slippery descents.

Before a two-up weekend, check the rear pad thickness and the disc. After riding in rain or on salted roads, rinse the caliper and let it dry. Replace the brake fluid every couple of years, as it absorbs moisture over time.

Winter commuters face a different challenge: dark mornings, cold tyres and wet leaves at the roadside. On the Versys 1000 S the rear brake is a gentle way to trim speed before a roundabout without loading the front tyre, and a compound that does not change its character when the disc is cold keeps that technique reliable until spring.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists AGPP88 for the rear of the Versys 1000 S from 2021 to 2024, with AGPA109 as the front reference for the same years. No Accossato disc is recorded for this version in our data. One box covers the single rear caliper; compare the old pads with the new set before fitting.

Road Approval

We hold no ABE or German approval document for AGPP88ST. It is intended for track use.

Scope of Delivery
