DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Yamaha XSR900 puts a three-cylinder engine and modern chassis under bodywork that looks back several decades, and it has been in the catalogue since 2016. Accossato lists it to 2026 and adds a line for the 80 Black edition of 2020. Special editions are interesting in a parts catalogue because they show how carefully the record is kept. The cap itself is the FC124, machined from aluminium and closing with a quick-acting pawl whose pin can be had in six colours.
Key Features
- Quick-release fuel tank cap for the Yamaha XSR900, 2016 to 2026
- The 80 Black edition of 2020 is listed separately by Accossato
- Machined entirely from aluminium on CNC equipment
- Quick-closing pawl instead of a conventional fitting
- Six pin colours: blue, green, black, red, silver, gold
- Replacement pawl available on its own
- Compare your machine with the application list before ordering
- No German ABE documented; track use
Construction and Material Quality
Aluminium worked on CNC machines is the whole specification, and the maker rates the result as robust and durable with a design that is new. The quick-closing pawl gives the cap its character: the XSR900's tank opens with a single movement and shuts the same way, which is what you want when the machine is on its stand and the session clock is running. The pin inside the pawl is available in six colours and is chosen as you order, while the pawl itself stays available as a separate spare.
A Special Edition in the Listing
A limited colour scheme changes nothing mechanical and everything about how an owner treats the machine. The paint is looked after, the original parts are kept, and anything added is chosen to sit with the finish rather than argue with it. That is where the choice of pin colour earns its place: black or silver disappear into a dark scheme, while red, blue, green or gold declare themselves from a few paces away. Neither approach is wrong, and the decision costs nothing either way since it is made once, at the time of ordering. What matters more is that the XSR900 goes back to standard easily if the machine is ever sold to somebody who wants it exactly as it left the factory.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the XSR 900 from 2016 to 2026 and the 80 Black edition of 2020, and this product covers both entries. The GP version is listed separately. At Inter-Pace the same FC124 is also catalogued for the MT-09, the MT-09 SP and the MT-10. Check the application list before you order.
Road Approval
Accossato records no German ABE and no parts certificate for this cap, so we supply it for closed circuits. The XSR900 keeps its original cap for the road, which normally opens with the ignition key.
Scope of Delivery
One Accossato FC124 fuel tank cap with the pin in your chosen colour. The pawl can be reordered separately.
