DescriptionThe whole story▼

Seen from the saddle, the brake lever is one of the few coloured parts that stays in view all day, and on a Multistrada V4S it sits against a large, carefully styled cockpit. Choosing its colour is a small decision with a visible result. Accossato's EDF099 gives you seven options on a black hub, from a discreet black blade to bright orange, and it replaces the original front brake lever of the V4S from 2021 to 2026. The lever is CNC-machined from aluminium, anodised, adjustable in reach and made in three lengths.

Key Features

  • Seven blade colours: black, blue, red, orange, gold, silver, green
  • Hub always anodised black
  • Reach to the grip adjustable
  • Short, standard (approximately 138 mm) or long blade
  • Aluminium machined on CNC equipment
  • For the original master cylinder of the Multistrada V4S
  • No folding hinge; packed in an Accossato box

Construction and Material Quality

The colour of an anodised lever is not painted on. During anodising, the surface of the machined aluminium is turned into a porous oxide layer that absorbs the dye and is then sealed, so the colour sits within the surface rather than on it. That is why the blade of the EDF099 keeps a uniform, deep finish, while the hub is always black. The blade itself is solid and fixed, one part from pivot to tip.

A Colour for Your V4S

There is no rule here, only possibilities. On a red Multistrada V4S, a red blade can continue the paint into the cockpit, although red is made in the standard length only. On a darker or grey bike, black keeps the look calm, and silver or gold add a technical accent without shouting. Orange, green and blue are the choices for riders who want a contrast, for example to echo the colour of a helmet, a jacket or a set of luggage.

Because the hub is always black, every version reads as a two-tone part, which helps a bright blade look deliberate rather than random. Keep in mind that Accossato does not list a clutch lever for the V4S, so the colour will appear on the right-hand side only. Many riders like that asymmetry; if you prefer a calmer cockpit, black or silver will sit most quietly next to the original clutch lever. Length and colour are chosen together: the long blade exists in blue, green, orange and gold, the short one also in silver.

Fitment and Compatibility

Model years 2021 to 2026 of the Multistrada V4S are the ones Accossato names for this lever, which mounts on the original front master cylinder. Should your V4S come from one of the most recent years, it is sensible to hold the original lever next to our photos before you order.

Road Approval

Without a documented German ABE, the EDF099 is sold for use on closed circuits.

Scope of Delivery
